Development of a comprehensive diagnostic, and a strategic and action plan to reduce water losses of 10 municipalities in the North of Portugal (250’000 inhabitants, 120’000 clients, 4’400 km of water supply networks and 119 DMA). The project, developed together with the municipalities, established a strategy, as well as objectives, criteria, metrics and realistic goals. These measures considered a reduction in operational costs due to NRW of 22%, allowing an increase of the level of service to the population.
